Looking for a new Aluminum Christmas Tree

Aluminum Christmas trees have only been around since the mid 1950s, though recent they are still referred to as aluminum antique Christmas trees. The aluminum tree was the answer to the current artificial Christmas tree, which, at that time, did not have a very realistic look to it.

Aluminum Christmas trees were very popular for a period of 10 years or so. During that period, the trees were manufactured in a similar manner to the artificial Christmas trees. They were offered in a variety of sizes, from the smallest of trees (mostly used as table toppers) up to 8 feet.

While they started out as only basic aluminum, they began manufacturing the trees in a variety of colors, including gold, green, blue, red, and pink.

The aluminum material used to create the trees held a risk for electrical spark when attaching regular string lights to them. As such, a color wheel was designed to be placed at the base of the tree and would illuminate the tree in a revolving color scheme, which included red, green, yellow and blue.

Aluminum trees also had stands designed specifically for them. The most popular one was the rotating stand, which would take the tree in a full circle, while the light color wheel would change the colors.

There are certainly more modern designs available of this older type of tree. New aluminum Christmas trees can be purchased from a variety of websites, as well as some older ones that are still available.
